The MLB trade deadline was July 31 at 6:00, but before then why made some improvements to our team. On July 30th we made a trade with a great impact, we got one of the most reliable closers in the league in a trade with the Minnesota Twins, we traded for Jhoan Duran, who is a 27 year old bullpen pitcher that we will have under contract through 2027. Trading for him will take pressure off of Orion Kettering and Matt Strahm, but in order to make this trade we had to give up 23 year old pitcher Mick Able, and 18 year old catcher, and Eduardo Tait, both top one hundred prospects in the league. I believe we won this trade, the Philadelphia Phillies are in win now mode and Mick Able was not needed this year and Eduardo Tait will not be ready to play in the MLB for a few years, to me this was the perfect trade for the Phillies. The Phillies made another trade with the Twins on July 31, but this time it was small move, we traded pitcher Geremy Villoria and out fielder Hendry Mendez for outfielder Harrison Bader. Trading for Harrison Bader was not the biggest move, but a good move. Bader is a slight upgrade from Phillies outfielders Brandon Marsh and Max Kepler. Overall this trade deadline really helped the Phillies title chances, they did not get a star batter which we could have used, but we did well in other ways by helping the outfield and the bullpen.

Bader will be a great fit. What do you think about Duran’s entrance?
Great analysis!
Thank you as always!
You go, HG!
