BOOM:
Darius Acuff Jr.: He is a 6’ 2 point guard for Arkansas University. He was coached under John Calipari in college. He produced many superstar guards like Devin Booker, John Wall, MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, former MVP Derrick Rose, and Sixers very own Tyrese Maxey and Darius Acuff Jr. can very well be on that path as well. He is electric, averaging 23 Points per game. He is really fast and incredibly athletic. I project him to go anywhere between five and sev, en in this year’s NBA draft. I am very excited to see how he progresses in the NBA.
AJ Dybantsa: The projected number 1 pick in the draft, AJ Dybantsa, from BYU is a scoring machine averaging 25.5 points per game in college. I predict him to score around 25 points per game in many of his NBA seasons. I am aware BYU is not the biggest basketball school, and things are different in the NBA, but his style of play can be easily transferred to the NBA. He may have some trouble at the start of his career figuring out he’s not the best player right away butHe would learn how he goes and grow as a player.
BUST:
Cameron Boozer: Son of former NBA player Carlos Boozer, Cam Boozer is coming into the NBA really hyped up, averaging 22.5 points per game and looked like a great player rebounding and scoring, but he has one flaw, he does not shoot the ball the game on the line. Isaiah Evans always shot the ball when the game was on the line and yes, Isaiah Evans is a good player, but with the game on the line I want my star player shooting. I don’t know if it’s a confidence issue for Boozer, or a trust issue, but something is off here. If you were picking a player top three you want him to lead your team to wins are playoff wins and I don’t know if he could close out games and deliver wins for his team.
