NBA standing s prediction East

  1. The Cleveland Cavaliers, the Cavs won the east last year. They have so many stars, such as Donovan Mitchell, Even Mobley and Darius Garland. This is one of the best big threes in the league and with a the injured stars in the east, what’s stopping them from winning the east again.
  2. The Detroit Pistons, last year they were the number 6 seed in the East, but this year I expect a big jump. They got a young roster led by star point guard Cade Cunningham. They got tons of talent around him, with great young defender Ausar Thompson, 21 year old center Jalen Duran. I believe there leap in the standing will be because of leaps from Ausar Thompson and former number 3 pick Ron Holland. Another reason of a leap will be a second scoring guard. Last year, Jaden Ivey received a season ending injury and made a big difference in their backcourt. They also signed Caris LeVert who would be a spark off the bench. I expect great things from this young squad.
  3. The New York Knicks, last year they were the number 3 seed and expect them to be there again this year. They did not make any big changes to their roster. They are led by star point guard Jalen Brunson and big man Karl Anthony Towns. Their only change is their coach, they fired Tom Thibodeao and hired Mike Brown. Honestly, that was a downgrade, but I don’t think this would affect the team tremendously.
  4. The Philadelphia 76ers, last year they were the 13th seed, and it’s only up from here. They had so many injuries last year, all their stars were hurt, including their MVP center Joel Embiid, but now they are back and heathy. They added V.J Edgecombe a young gaud out of Baylor, as well. If Embiid plays 60 games I believe they will be higher in the standings. I just don’t trust their heath longterm.
  5. The Orlando Magic, last year they were a play-in team, but I expect a better record this year. They already have young stars like Paulo Banchero and Franz Wagner, and they got another star this year. They made a big trade, trading 4 first round picks and more to the Memphis Grizzlies for Desmond Bane. With this trade, they got a tremendous shooter which would bring another dynamic to their team.
  6. The Boston Celtics, they were so good last year, the number 2 seed, but they lost too many players to injury and trades. They lost Superstar Jason Tatum for the year, and they traded away Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis. They got a lot worse, but they still have stars like Jaylen Brown and Derrick White. They also have strong scores like Payton Prichard and Anfernee Simons. Lots of people think they will have a hard drop is the standing, but I think otherwise.
  7. The Atlanta Hawks, last year they were the number 8 seed, and lots of people are expecting a big jump in the standing, but honestly I disagree. They added an another star this offseason in a trade with the Boston Celtics, they gave up practically nothing for big man Kristaps Porzingis. There roster is great in all, with this new addition in Kristaps Porzingis and star point guard Trea Young and elite promoter defender, Dyson Daniels and last years number one pick Zaccharie Risacher, but honestly I don’t think this roster is better than the ones above the teams I listed so far.
  8. The Miami Heat, last year they were the number 10 seed, and I pin that on one player. Last year their two stars were Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo, and Bam had his worst season in a while, but I expect a turn around for him, making the all star game. Their team did not change much, they have their stars and a good supporting cast including former All-Star Andrew Wiggins. I expect a small jump in the standings for the this team.
  9. The Chicago Bulls, last year they were the number 9 seed. They have two good guards that lead their team, Coby White and Josh Giddey. They have a good supporting cast as well with players like Matas Buzelis and Nikola Vucevic. They have good players, but there biggest weakness is not having an All-Star calibrate player. They are pretty good right now but, I don’t think that would stay
  10. The Indiana Pacers, last year they made it all the way to the NBA Finals where they lost in 7 games to The Oklahoma City Thunder. Honestly if not for their star player, Tyrese Haliburton getting a torn achilles , they probably would have won. He looked so good beforehand. Now, he is out for the year and they lost their starting center Myles Turner in free agency, but I expect Pascal Siakam to lead this team. I also expect Andrew Nembhard to improve across the season leading them to the Play-In.
  11. The Charlotte Hornets, last year they were nothing but trash. The number 14 seed in the East, but this year I expect aa different outcome for this team. This a young team, led by LeMelo Ball, third year player, Brandon Miller and rookie Kon Knueppel. I would not be surprised if they are even higher up in the standing. The only thing that will hold them back from being a Playoff or Play-in team is Ball’s heath.
  12. The Toronto Raptors, they were the number 11 seed last year and they will miss the Playoffs again. They have three good players, Scottie Barnes, Brandon Ingram and Gradey Dick. They have some young players as well to there better p.ayers, but this roster is not good enough to make it to the playoffs.
  13. The Milwaukee Bucks, they were the number 5 seed last year. Look, they lost Damian Lillard, and they filled that need to a second star with Center Myles Turner, but he is not good enough to be a number two option on a good team. There former MVP, Gannis Antetokounmpo is not very happy I do not think he wants to be here, maybe he will get traded at the deadline. To sum it up, this team is going to fall apart, if they have not already.
  14. The Washington Wizards, last year they were the last seed, and they will not get that much better. They are a young team, and their best player is second year player Alex Sarr. In a year or two, I believe they will be good, but not yet.
  15. The Brooklyn Nets, last year thy were the number 14 seed. A few years ago they built a big three, Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and James Harden, but it never panned out. ˇhey traded them for picks and players and they traded those players for even more picks. They in in a big rebuild and just like the Wizards, in 2 years they will be good but, right now they are not.
