Most valuable player in the NBA

  1. Nikola Jokic may be the MVP, but is he the most valuable and untouchable player in the league? The answer is no. The most valuable player in the NBA in 2024 is Victor Wembanyama. He is the San Antonio starting center. He was the number one pick in 2023. He was a projected superstar, and he is. He won rookie of the year unanimously. He led the NBA in blocks and led all rookies in scoring. He is a perfect guy to build a team around with his incredible size and spacing. Also, he is one a rookie contract. Which makes him very valuable. He may become a multi-time MVP and defensive player of the year. To sum this up, Victor Wembanyama is the league’s most valuable play and will be for many years to come.
  2. The second most valuable player in the NBA is the Minnesota Timberwolves’s shooting guard Anthony Edwards. He was the number one pick in 2021. He is young, clutch and an amazing scorer. He could lead the league in points in the future and he could be a future MVP. His big jump this season really showed lots of promise in him becoming an all-time great. He is also very coachable. This second spot is tight on my choice for the second most valuable player, but the fact that Anthony Edwards can out play many of the league’s superstars when it matters put him ahead of the rest. These are the reasons why Anthony Edwars is the second most valuable player.
  3. The third most valuable player in the NBA is the Denver Nugget’s star center Nikola Jokic. He is a three-time MVP, and his passing makes him so special. He is a center that can get a triple double on any given night and that is extraordinary. The only reason he is not higher than Victor Wembanyama and Anthony Edwards is his age. Even though he is older than the others he still is an amazing player, and these reasons are why he is the third most valuable player.
  4. The fourth most valuable player in the NBA is the Oklahoma City Thunder’s star guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. He is young and a player that will give you a thirty-point game on any given night. He is also great defensively by getting lots of steals. He led his team to the number one seed in the west this year. He is just as talented as the first three, but he is older than Victor Wembanyama or Anthony Edwards and he does not have any MVP’s or championships like Nikola Jokic. Even if he does not have any MVPs or championships yet he still is one of the league’s most valuable players.
  5. Last but not least, the fifth most valuable player in the NBA is the Dallas Maverick’s star guard Luka Doncic. His age and his height make him so valuable. He can get a triple double whenever he puts his mind to it. With the right running mate he is the most dangerous player in basketball. He can shoot from all over the floor and the best guard rebounder in the league. He is one of the best scores too. All these qualities make him the fifth most valuable player in the NBA.
