- The Chicago Bears currently hold the first pick in the 2024 NFL draft from Detroit. They got this pick from the Carolina Panthers last season. They traded last year’s first pick in the draft, which turned into Bryce Young in return for star receiver D.J Moore and the Panthers first round pick this season. It is pretty clear to say at this point in time that the Bears won the deal because Bryce Young was not very good last year. D.J Moore was great for the Bears last year. Also, the Panthers had to give up this year’s number one pick. Now, the Bears will pick the best quarterback in the draft in USC’s Caleb Williams. won the Heisman trophy award in 2022. He was the best arm in the draft, and he was a great runner. He is bigger than last year’s number one pick Bryce Young too. The Bears made it clear that they were going to draft a QB when they traded away former first round pick Justin Fields to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Caleb Williams will be perfect for their offense. The Bears have two-star receivers in Keenan Allen and D.J Moore. The have two great tight ends and a star running back. It would not surprise me if the Bears are a playoff team this upcoming season.
- The Washington Commanders currently hold the second pick in the 2024 NFL draft. They made it clear that they will draft a quarterback when they traded last season’s quarterback in Sam Howell to the Seattle Seahawks. The team hired a new Offensive coordinator in Kliff Kingsbury and head coach in Dan Quinn. Which leads the Commanders to pick last year’s Heisman award winner in LSU’s Jayden Daniels. He is an outstanding rusher and great arm. Unlike USC they were a ranked team last year. Also, he has great footwork. The Commanders have two good receivers in Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson. As an Eagles fan I am really annoyed that the Commanders get a quarterback of his skill level.
- The New England Patriots currently hold the third pick in this year’s draft. Last year the team was a mess. They started two quarterbacks’ last season. The quarterbacks were Mac Jones and Bailey Zappe. They fired their head coach. Their coach was Bill Belichick. Firing their coach and hiring Jarod Mayo shows there trying to restart their team. The next step in restarting a team is drafting a quarterback and that is why they will draft UNC’s star quarterback Drake Maye. He is a very accurate passer with a cannon for an arm. He comes from a really athletic family. He has the potential of a hall of famer, but he needs to work on his footwork and his selections on throws. He threw 16 interceptions in the last two years which is a lot compared to other players in this draft. One other thing is he might not be ready week one but luckily, they signed quarterback Jacoby Brissett this offseason. My NFL comparison to Drake Maye is Justin Hurbert. It may seem like he is not as good as the first two quarterbacks selected but, in a few years, he might be the best in the draft class.
- The Arizona Cardinals currently hold the fourth pick in the draft. They have their franchise quarterback in Kyler Murrey. Last year the Cardinals traded back and drafted Paris Johnson Jr. I think there is a high chance of them trading back with the Minnesota Vikings for number eleven and also receive the twenty third pick but if they don’t trade back, they will pick Ohio State superstar Marvin Harrison Jr. He is the son of hall of fame wide receiver Marvin Harrison Sr. Marvin Harrison Jr. is very quick, he has perfect hands, and he has the perfect size for a receiver. He was capable of getting over one hundred receiving yards every game in collage. He also delivered in big games. Marvin Harrison Jr. will help Kyler Murrey reach he potential. Marvin Harrison Jr. He will be a number one receiver for a team right away. He very well could be a future hall of famer and the next Larry Fitzgerald for this franchise.
- The Los Angeles Chargers currently hold the fifth pick in the draft. The first thing the Chargers did was fire head coach Brandon Staley and hire college football champion and former quarterback Jim Harbaugh. Then the Chargers released star wide receiver Mike Williams. He signed with the New York Jets about a week after. Also, they traded star wide receiver Keenan Allen to the Chicago Bears this offseason. So, they have a hole in the receiver room that needs to be filled. Which leads them to draft LSU star receiver Malik Nabers. That is if they don’t trade back. Malik Nabers even had more receiving yards than Mavin Harrison Jr. Malik Nabers is the most explosive player in this draft. He has great hands and scored lots of touchdowns last season. Also, he was a very good route runner. He could easily be drafted fourth. Malik Nabers is the perfect fit for the Chargers.
- The New York Giants currently hold the sixth pick in the draft. The Giants were always a run first team, but they lost Saquon Barkley who is a star running back. Now they will have to be a pass first team. In order to do that they will need a good receiver. Which leads the Giants to select Washington University’s wide receiver in Rome Odunze. He is a great at making contested catches and is great at creating separation from his defender. He is a real matchup nightmare. Also, he’s very strong. He will elevate their passing game for many years. Which makes him the perfect receiver for their quarterback Daniel Jones and their team.
- The Tennessee Titans currently hold the seventh pick in the draft. The Titans had an outstanding offseason so far. They got cornerbacks, running backs and receivers. Which allows them to pick an offensive lineman which they really needed. That leads them to pick Notre Dame’s star tackle Joe Alt. Joe Alt comes from a very athletic family. His dad is a former pro bowler in John Alt and his brother is a hockey player in Mark Alt. Joe Alt is huge. Over 300 pounds and he is very tall. He is also extremely strong. He is the top offensive lineman in this class. The Titans got rid of last season’s tackle Andre Dillard. Andre Dillard was a former Eagle. Getting rid of Andre Dillard with allow Joe Alt to start week one and improve this offensive line. Last season their offensive line was a mess. Having an improved offensive line can help improve last season second round quarterback Will Levis. Peter Skoronski will also improve as the season goes on which would also make their offensive line better. He was last season’s first round pick for the Titans. Expect the Titans to have a much stronger offensive line if Joe Alt is on the team.
- The Atlanta Falcons currently hold the eighth pick in the draft. The Falcons addressed their biggest need this offseason. They signed a quarterback in Kirk Cousins. Which means in the draft they can address their other need. Their biggest need is an edge rusher. The Falcons have not had a player with ten plus sacks since Vic Beasley in 2016. Which leads the Falcons to take the first defender in the draft in Alabama star Dallas Turner. Dallas Turner replaced last year’s number three pick Will Anderson Jr. He was so important for that team`. He is fast, strong and could lead the league in sacks in a few years. Expect this team to be in the playoffs this season if they draft Dallas Turner with an improved offense and defense this upcoming season.
- The Chicago Bears currently hold the ninth in the draft. They got their quarterback already in Caleb Williams now it is time to add to their defense. They extended star corner Jaylon Johnson which means they don’t have to add to their secondary. That leads them to pick an edge rusher in Laiatu Latu. He is this year’s Nolan Smith. Laiatu Latu is incredibly fast off the edge and he could very well lead all rookies in sacks this season. He will work very nicely with their trade deadline move Montez Sweat. With the additions on both sides of the ball in this draft it will help the compete with their rivals in the Lions, Vikings and Packers. If they draft Caleb Williams and Laiatu Latu I would give them an A+ on day one.
- The New York Jets currently hold the tenth pick in the draft. In the offseason they signed two tackles in Tyron Smith and Morgan Moses and a guard in John Simpson. That allows them to go all in the year around future hall of fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers and draft the best player available in Georgia star tight end in Brock Bowers. He can line up anywhere on the field like running back, receiver and tight end sort of like a Taysom Hill but better as a pass catcher and worse at quarterback. Brock Bowers also reminds me of Kyle Pitts because he can line up as a receiver or tight end. Aaron Rodgers already has many offensive weapons such as receiver Mike Williams, receiver Garrett Wilson and running back Breece Hall. Brock Bowers would make another player on worry about on the offensive side of the football and gives them a better chance to win in their short title window with Aaron Rodgers getting old. That is why they should draft Brock Bowers.
- The Vikings currently hold the eleventh pick in the draft. They lost their quarterback in Kirk Cousins, and even know they signed Sam Darnold they should draft a quarterback. The best quarterback available is Michigan star J.J. McCarthy. He is an accurate passer and a winner. He is also more athletic than people think. He won last year. He only lost one game before. There is a risk in drafting J.J. McCarthy. The risk is he does not throw more than twenty-five passes in a game. The Michigan Wolverines were a run dependent team and the Vikings have not had a good rushing game in years. But the Vikings did sign star running back Aaron Jones. So, it should not be a problem. If they draft J.J. McCarthy he could be a pro bowler in a few years. I do expect them to trade up to draft him. The Vikings will do very well in the draft if the get J.J. McCarthy.
- The Denver Broncos currently hold the twelfth pick in the draft. The Broncos released quarterback Russell Wison and took the dead cap this offseason. Russell Wilson signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Releasing Russell Wilson means they will draft a quarterback like Oregan star Bo Nix. He makes great choices on the field. He had much more touchdowns than interceptions. He had 45 touchdowns and three interceptions. He had great completion percentage. He also has a good arm. Maybe Sean Payton sees a bit of Drew Brees in him and wants to draft him to be the quarterback of the future for the franchise. This could be a outstanding draft for the Broncos if they draft Bo Nix.
- The Las Vagas Raiders currently have the thirteenth pick in the draft. They could go quarterback here, but they could address that in the second round. They got another pass rusher in Christian Wilkins, so they don’t have to pass rusher. That means they will go cornerback for Antonio Pierce’s defense. They will pick Alabama star cornerback Terrion Arnold to go along side Nate Hobbs. He brings physicality, energy and speed to any football team. They could go Quinyon Mitchell from Toledo who is my favorite corner in the class, but I don’t think the Raiders will overthink it. Draft the guy from the school known for football. Don’t make the same mistake the Eagles made with Jalen Reagor. They picked Jalen Reagor out of TCU instead of a known football school like LSU’s Justin Jefferson. But I still love Terrion Arnold’s game and he will be a hit for the Raiders.
- The New Orleans Saints currently hold the fourteenth pick in the draft. Ryan Ramczyk is a tackle for the Saints, but he cannot stay on the field due to injuries which means they should draft a replacement. If they are going to draft a tackle, they should draft the tackle with the best talent that is available in Oregan State’s star Taliese Fuaga. He is big, strong and powerful. and he can really help their run game with Jamal Williams and Alvin Kamara. If they pick Taliese Fuaga it can really unlock their offense.
- The Indianapolis Colts currently hold the fifteenth pick in the draft. They resigned cornerback Kenny Moore which proves they care about their corners. They lost cornerbacks Stephon Gilmore to the Dallas Cowboys, but he is now a free agent and Isiah Rodgers Sr. went to the Philadelphia Eagles in the offseason last year, so they need a second cornerback to for the secondary. The best cornerback available is Toledo star Quinyon Mitchell. He was amazing in the combine and the workouts, and he shot up draft boards. He may be the first corner off the board. He was the best player on Toledo. I would not be shocked if Howie Roseman tries to trade up for his struggling secondary. Quinyon Mitchell will be great for the Colts defense.
- The Seattle Seahawks currently hold the sixteenth pick in the draft. I thought the Seahawks would pick a defensive tackle last year, but they ended up going cornerback. So, this it is the time for them to draft a defensive tackle in Texas Star Byron Murphy II. He is big and talented. He can get to the quarterback with ease. Texas had a great defensive line with Byron Murphy II and T’Vondre Sweat. Byron Murphy II can bring lots of talent to their defense. They lost Bobby Wagner to the Washington Commanders. So, they are in the need for some real talent on their defensive side of the football which Byron Murphy II has. These are all the reason that they should draft Byron Murphy II.
- The Jacksonville Jaguares currently hold the seventeenth pick in the draft. Their defense, much like the Eagles, collapsed near the end of the season and they missed the playoffs. Their pass rush was good with Josh Allen so they will need to upgrade their secondary and that starts with Clemson’s star cornerback Nate Wiggins. He is very small which may cause him to fall but his speed makes up for it. He can stay with any receiver. He can be a very important piece for whoever drafts him. He could be a future star in the NFL. Wherever Nate Wiggins goes they will get a fast player that will elevate their secondary.
- The Cincinnati Bengals currently hold the eighteenth pick in the draft. One of the star receivers on the Bengals in Tee Higgins requested a trade this offseason. Tee Higgins is a big, tall and strong receiver so they should draft the same type of receiver for this offense to work. That leads them to draft LSU’s star receiver Brian Thomas Jr. He is a similar in size to Tee Higgins and just as strong. Brian Thomas Jr. led the nation in touchdowns with 17 this past season. It’s as simple as that, trade Tee Higgins during the draft and draft Brian Thomas Jr., the perfect receiver for this franchise.
- The Los Angeles Rams currently hold the nineteenth pick in the draft. Future first ballot hall of famer in Aaron Donald retired so they will need to find a replacement that can at least to the job because nobody can do what Aaron Donald did. That leads them to pick Florida State’s defensive end Jared Verse. He was very strong and was very important for their defense which he would be for the Rams too. The Rams drafted very well last year with late round picks Puka Nacua and Kobi Turner. Hopefully the Rams can draft that well again and drafting that well again starts with drafting Jarad Verse.
- The Pittsburgh Steelers currently hold the twentieth pick in the draft. The Steelers last year drafted two Georgia men in tackle Broderick Jones and tight end Darnell Washington, and they year before that they drafted Georgia receiver George Pickens. They are already proven to love offensive players from Georgia so why not add more in Georgia tackle Amarius Mims. He has great technique and has great size. He did have some injury problems in collage so teams might be scared to pick him in round one, but he has great potential and some team for example the Steelers may fall in love with his talent. He can help this team on play run game and their play action. Russell Wilson needs time to do his magic off of play action. Russell Wilson works best on play action and with Amarius Mims on his offensive line he should thrive in their offense. For those reason the Steelers should draft Amarius Mims.
- The Miami Dolphins currently hold the twenty-first pick in the draft. The Dolphins really wanted receiver Odell Beckham Jr. which proves they want a receiver. They already have all the speed in the NFL so why not get some size and that starts with Flarida State’s Keon Coleman. He did awful at the combine- he ran a 4.61, but he is tall, he can jump and can’t be tackled. He would add another dimension of excellence to their explosive offense. No defensive coordinator will be able to plan for this offense if they add Keon Coleman and that is why they should draft Keon Coleman.
- The Philadelphia Eagles currently hold the twenty-second pick in the draft. Jason Kelce and Fletcher Cox retired this year, but we already drafted replacements in Jalen Carter and Cam Jurgens, but now we have to prepare for Lane Johnson’s retirement and draft a tackle in Alabama star J.C Latham. He had a rough day in the final game of season vs Michigan, but I believe the Eagles will look past that because they want a guy that is big, strong and has good foot work. The Eagles need to draft a replacement like J.C Latham in this draft because in the next couple of years star tackle Lane Johnson would not be there to mentor the guy and J.C Latham checks of all those boxes so this is a perfect pick for the Eagles.
- The Minnasota Vikings currently hold the twenty-third pick in the draft because they traded for this pick from the Houston Texans this offseason. They lost an extremely important piece in their defensive line in Danielle Hunter to the Texans which means they have to replace him they already did some of the work by signing Andrew Van Ginkel, but they still need to add some more beef to this defensive line and that starts by drafting Penn State’s star Chop Robinson. He has elite speed from the edge, and he can move everywhere on the defensive line. His speed can cause offensive linemen to act fast and mess up which causes an allowed sack for the offensive linemen. He may be my early pick for DROY. If the Vikings get J.J. McCarthy and Chop Robinson I would give them an A on this draft.
- The Dallas Cowboys currently hold the twenty-fourth pick in the draft. They lost center Tyler Biadasz to the Washington Commanders this offseason, so they need to find a replacement. The Cowboys search party begins with Oregan’s center in Jackson Powers-Johnson and Duke’s star center Graham Barton. I like Graham Barton better due to his potential. The only problem is it might be over thinking it because Oregon produces some really talented players like Bo Nix and Justin Herbert but sometimes you may look at that player and think he is a boom or bust and you need that because the reward can be so good. That is probably why Howie Roseman drafted Jalen Reagor over Justin Jefferson, but unlike Jalen Reagor being a bust I do not think Graham Barton will be a bust and that is why they will pick Graham Barton. He has great size and power and could make a great center for Jerry Jones’s Cowboys for many years to come.
- The Green Bay Packer currently pick the twenty-fifth pick in the draft. The Packers traded cornerback Rasul Douglas to the bills so they have a hole at cornerback and that hole will be filled in this draft by drafting Alabama’s Kool-Aid McKinstry. His real name is Ga’Quincy McKinstry. Kool-Aid McKinstry is a small but very smart football player on the field. He is great at reading the receiver. Kool-Aid Mckinstry played great alongside Terrion Arnold so Kool-Aid will most likely be a great player to play alongside cornerback Jaire Alexander and safety Xavier McKinney. This could be a one of the best secondaries in the league if they draft Kool-Aid McKinstry.
- The Tampa Bay Buccaneers currently hold the twenty-sixth pick in the draft. The Bucs traded away Carlton Davis III to the Detroit Lions for a third-round pick so they will have to replace Carlton Davis III in this draft. They will replace him with Missouri’s Ennis Rakestraw Jr. He has a bit of an injury history, but I believe teams like The Buccaneers want his speed and competitiveness. They resigned star safety Antoine Winfield Jr. so their secondary will still be dominant. And drafting Ennis Rakestraw Jr. can even elevate their secondary and keep their Super Bowl chances alive.
- The Arizona Cardinals currently hold the twenty-seventh pick in the draft. They got this pick from the Houston Texans. The Cardinals need to make sure Kyler Murray is heathy and that starts with having a good offensive line. They started adding to their offensive line last by trading back to draft Ohio State’s tackle Paris Johnson Jr. Now they have to add a center like Oregon’s Jackson Powers-Johnson. He has great size, power and footwork and could be the best center in the draft. If the Cardinals draft Jackson Powers-Johnson Kyler Murray can be heathy for many seasons to come.
- The Buffalo Bills currently hold the twenty-eighth pick in the draft. The Bills let star receiver Gabe Davis Leave to the Jacksonville Jaguars and they traded star receiver Stephon Diggs to the Houston Texans which is huge for the Texans. These moves happened this offseason which means the Bills really need a receiver and that leads them to pick Texas receiver Adonai Mitchell. He ran a 4.34 in the 40-yard dash which means he is exceptionally fast. He is a winner. He will be the star receiver for Josh Allen in Joe Brady’s offense. If the Bills draft Adonai Mitchell their Super Bowl window will remain open.
- The Detroit Lions currently hold the twenty-ninth pick in the draft. The Lions lost in the NFC championship game last year and they have all the pieces to win a Super Bowl, but what would be good for them is another guy to play alongside Aiden Hutchenson like Missouri’s Darius Robinson. They already got D.J Reader but having too much talent never hurts. Darius Robinson can line up anywhere on the defensive line so he would fit very well with the other players on their defensive line. If The Lions have multiple 10+ sack players on their defense, they can easily hold off a team like the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl. If the Lions draft Darius Robinson this team may be the team to beat in the NFC and the team to end the Chiefs dynasty.
- The Baltimore Ravens currently hold the thirtieth pick in the draft. They lost offensive linemen in tackle Morgan Moses and guard John Simpson so they need to replace them and that is why they will pick Penn State’s tackle Olumuyiwa Fashanu. He is one of the most powerful players in the draft and can go as high as pick seven and as low as pick thirty. He had a down year last year and it may cause him to lose confidence, so teams might be scared to draft him early, but if the Ravens can build his confidence back up this can be an outstanding pick for the Ravens.
- The San Francisco 49ers currently hold the thirty-first pick in the draft. The 49ers might have the most complete team in the NFL, but they still could add a defensive tackle because they cut Arik Armstead, which leads them to pick Florida State’s Braden Fiske. He has speed, talent and potential. He could be a pro bowler in a few years. Braden Fiske had great workouts and a great combine. He can really rush around blockers. He would split the reps with former Eagle Javon Hargrave. Braden Fiske could be a stud.
- Last but not least the Kanas City Chiefs currently hold the thirty-second pick in the draft. The Chiefs are a dynasty, but they need a receiver. Two years ago, they traded superstar receiver Tyreek Hill to the dolphins which resulted in an unfilled hole. Now they fill the hole with a fast receiver who just happened to run a 4.21 in the forty-yard dash which is the record. He broke John Ross record. John Ross went ninth in 2017. The receiver that broke the record and the one they will draft is Texas star Xavier Worthy. He is extremely fast and could be used in so many ways just like Tyreek Hill. This could be MVP quarterback Patrick Mahomes’s number one receiver for years to come. Drafting Xavier Worthy could make for a third straight Super Bowl.
Offensive and defensive sleeper: My offensive sleeper is South Carolina’s Spencer Rattler. He was a five-star recruit. He has the potential to be a starter and a pro bowler, but he is not ready yet. He was great arm strength and a good personality. He could be the best day two offensive pick. My defensive sleeper is Miami’s Kamren Kitchens. He got eleven interceptions the last two years. He could be the best day two defensive pick. He will help any team win the turnover battle which leads to championships. I hope he becomes a Philadelphia Eagle.
